Matthew Weiner
Executive Producer

Matthew Weiner joins The Sopranos after writing on various network TV shows including The Naked Truth, Becker, and most recently, Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

Weiner attended Wesleyan University where he studied Philosophy, Literature and History. He has an MFA from the University of Southern California School of Cinema and Television, where he made a documentary about Hollywood’s paparazzi, It’s All True. Following film school, he was supported by his wife until taking his winnings as a contestant on Jeopardy! and turning them into the independent feature, What Do You Do All Day? Which he wrote and directed.

While finishing the film, Matt worked at A&E Biography, until finally all his hard work paid off as a series of accidents landed him a job writing jokes on a short-lived network sitcom, Party Girl– and he has worked ever since.

Weiner currently lives in his native Los Angeles with his wife and four sons.
