Season 2, Episode 3: You’ll Never Get Away from Me

Bree finally throws Phyllis out of her house who got Bree in trouble with the law by having Rex’s grave dug up to investigate his death. Susan tries bravely to accept Edie’s new role in Julie’s life when Edie wants to accompany Julie for a family musical recital attended by dad Karl. Lynette’s demanding boss, Nina Fletcher, makes her miss Parker’s first day of kindergarten, forcing Lynette to monitor Parker’s experience via a video camera. Bree later on demands to take a polygraph test to prove her innocence in Rex’s death to Andrew and Danielle, and realizes she has feelings for George. Bree persuades George to take the polygraph test as well, not realizing that psycho George believes his own lies. Gabrielle finally breaks for real with her young lover after seeing John with 41 year-old Joanie and returns wholeheartedly to delighted Carlos. Felicia Tilman persuades Mike to watch his back for the missing Zach and Paul Young might come after him. The mysterious Betty Applewhite and her son Matthew try to keep their mysterious captive’s presence a secret when he nearly escapes and avert suspicion away from them when Susan begins asking questions.


Season 2, Episode 4: My Heart Belongs to Daddy

Lynette’s son has an imaginary friend, George and Andrew fight over Bree’s attention, Susan struggles with the Zack situation, and Gabby has lawyer problems.


Season 2, Episode 5: They Asked Me Why I Believe in You

Original Air Date—23 October 2005
Susan’s longtime book agent and dear friend, Lonny Moon, gets into financial trouble and asks for her help. Lynette is forced to go out to bars night after night with her man-hungry boss, Nina, to help ease Nina’s stress. Bree is allowed to re-bury Rex amid police suspicions. Bree also becomes angry when she finds out about Rex’s feelings about her prior to his death that he suspected he was being poisoned… by her. Gabrielle hires David Bradley to defend Carlos in court, but Carlos rejects him, sensing the attraction between David and Gabrielle, until… More of the Applewhite’s past is shown when Betty wants to contact the police in Chicago to inform them of their whereabouts involving a murder case involving the murder victim Melanie Foster, her captive, mentally disabled son Caleb, whereas Matthew wants to keep hiding out and protect the simple-minded, but violent, Caleb with them. The fugitive Paul Young inconspicuously returns to Wisteria Lane.


Season 2, Episode 6: I Wish I Could Forget You

When Susan sees that Paul Young has returned to the neighborhood, she tries to get him arrested by informing the police that he killed Mrs. Huber. But Mike refuses to back up her story, apparently to avoid being arrested for attempting to murder Paul. Later, Susan and Mike experience a crisis after Mike learns that Susan lied to him about not seeing Zach and giving him money to keep away from the area. Susan’s terminally annoying and neurotic mother, Sophie, pays another visit for a wedding dress fitting. As Carlos continues serving his jail sentence, Gabrielle valiantly tries to free him, but lawyer David Bradley refuses to represent Carlos anymore after he reveals that he’s in love with Gabrielle. Meanwhile, Bree gets a bad rash every time she tries to be intimate with George. To take her mind off it, Bree agrees to a getaway weekend with him at a romantic hotel, but requests that they sleep in separate rooms. Also, Lynette gets into a minor argument with Tom over her purchase of a number of very expensive business suits to impress Nina and the rest of the office staff.


Season 2, Episode 7: Color and Light

Lynette and Tom find a like-minded couple to watch their kids, Susan strikes up a romance with her ex-husband, and Gabby tries to hide her pregnancy.


Season 2, Episode 8: The Sun Won’t Set

Original Air Date—20 November 2005
All the residents of Wisteria Lane stresses about security after the mysterious intruder at Gabrielle’s, while Betty and Matthew try to keep their knowledge about Caleb under wraps at any cost. As Lynette fears Tom doesn’t keep his eye close enough on their offspring, she decides to shock his confidence with their rascal twins. During rehearsals for her mother’s upcoming wedding with Morty, Susan discovers that her biological father is a nearby shopkeeper, she decides to meet him, but he dreads any intrusion in his present family. Bree and George get on even worse when he continues to brag about his upcoming nuptials, and Bree later gets a visit from a mysterious woman who claims that George is not who she says she is, leading to Bree to test George’s patience with her. Gabrielle has bad news for her Carlos about her miscarriage, but she refuses to acknowledge any grief for her pregnancy that she didn’t want in the first place. Then, Gabrielle gets a visit from a former prison inmate of Carlos, named Hector, who looks after a reluctant Gabrielle and forces her to face her feelings. Finally, Mike finds Caleb wondering around his back yard and has him arrested.


Season 2, Episode 9: That’s Good, That’s Bad

George stalks Bree, despite her efforts to break up with him. When Bree learns that George was responsible for attempting to murder her therapist, she calls the police on him, leading to a confrontation in a hotel room after Bree learns that George was also responsible for Rex’s death. Lynette uses some leverage against her supervisor Nina, after catching her frolicking with male receptionist Stu over office politics. After Nina threatens Lynette’s job, she persuades Stu to sue the firm, leading to many dismissals and Lynnette gaining Tina’s old job. Carlos is finally paroled from prison and returns a new man, and Gabrielle is jealous of his new ‘holier-than-thou’ nun confidante, sister Mary Bernard. Susan finally meets face-to-face her birth father, Addison Prudy, and tries to begin a relationship with him. But Mr. Purdy reveals that he does not want anything to do with her.


Season 2, Episode 10: Coming Home

Bree has to deal with George’s death, Lynette tries to get daycare at work, Susan has problems with her father’s wife, Gabrielle fights for her husband and the Applewhites get Caleb back.


Season 2, Episode 11: One More Kiss

Gabriel kisses Tom Scavo (Lynette’s husband). Once again Andrew tries to blackmail his mother. And Mike tries to spend a little time with Zach which angers Paul. Will Mike tell Zach that he is his real father? Or will he keep it a secret?


Season 2, Episode 12: We’re Gonna Be All Right

After a bad blind date, Susan meets and flirts with a handsome doctor, named Dr. Ron McGreadie, but she takes a wrong approach by feigning a terminal illness. Meanwhile, some old pictures of Gabrielle turn up on the Internet, and she asks a reluctant Carlos to get them back from an old photographer boyfriend. Tom is alarmed when the kids come down with chicken pox, because he’s never had it; Lynette thus learns more about Tom’s fear of being sick, as well as being sterile. After Bree asks Detective Barton to make a background check on the Applewhites, she happens to get arrested by the police detective himself for DUI after a lunch date with him. During Wisteria Lane’s annual blood drive, Zach learns that he has the same blood type as Mike. After months of silence, Mike’s former father-in-law, Noah Taylor, now bedridden with terminal cancer, asks him for information about his case, in which Mike resorts to lying to protect Paul and Zach Young.

Bree sees a stranger at the Applewhite’s house, Gabby has a fight with Sister Mary for interfering, and Susan’s budding relationship gets a little confusing.


Season 2, Episode 14: Silly People

While Tom tries to bond with his new boss, Karl makes Susan an offer she can’t refuse. Meanwhile, Bree plays sleuth at Betty’s house, and Gaby puts her house in order.


Season 2, Episode 15: Thank You So Much

Original Air Date—19 February 2006
On Valentines Day, Edie thinks that Karl is going to pop the question after she finds an engagement ring and prenuptial agreement in his briefcase, but Karl is actually trying to get Susan to marry him instead so she can get insurance for her upcoming surgery. Gabrielle and Carlos learn she is highly unable to conceive a child again because of complications caused from her recent miscarriage. At the same time, Carlos learns more about the tension-filled relationship between Gabrielle and her estranged, gold-digging mother Lucia, when she drops for a visit. Also, Bree’s problem with alcohol intensifies with the notice of Lynette after Bree baby sits her children for the day in which she passes out and the twins wonder around town.


Season 2, Episode 16: There Is No Other Way

Carlos and Gabrielle decide to adopt, but the process comes to be a lot more difficult than either had expected when they find out they have to be perfect roll models. But things get even worse when they find out that John Rowland’s vindictive mother, Helen, is an employee of the agency. Susan checks herself into the hospital for her surgery, but she makes the mistake of confiding in a nurse about her infatuation with Dr. Ron. Meanwhile, a showdown between Bree and Andrew leads to a full out war between mother and son when the twisted Andrew plots to become legally emaciated from his mother so he can set eyes on his trust fund, and he resorts to having his boyfriend, James, beat him up and then hires a lawyer to claim that Bree attacked him. Also, the dying Noah Taylor attempts to have Paul Young killed, but when the attempt is unsuccessful, Zach persuades Mike to let him meet his biological grandfather. Also, Tom is having more difficulty at his job when he begins to resent having to take orders Lynette which stings his ego of superiority.


Season 2, Episode 17: Could I Leave You?

Susan comes home from the hospital after her surgery where she invites Dr. Ron to meet Karl after he finds out about their arranged marriage. But the conniving Karl creates friction by having Mike and Dr. Ron meet face to face to provoke a reaction for his own amusement. Lynette is surprised that a new employee at work, named Veronica, is still breastfeeding her child of five. Gabrielle becomes very picky when choosing a surrogate birth mother, and a beautiful baby which leads her and Carl to pick out very pregnant erotic dancer Libby, who apparently rejects them for being middle-class Mexicans. Bree plays her part in Alcoholics Anonymous, but has to deal with a fresh accusation when the twisted Andrew threatens to tell the courts, and anyone that will listen, a concocted story about “repressed childhood abuse” to make his emancipation case stronger, leading to Bree getting drunk and locked up in a department store after hours, leading to her getting rescued by her AA sponsor. History seems to repeat itself when Caleb Applewhite develops a crush on Matthew’s new girlfriend Danielle, and breaks into her house to try to win her affections.


Season 2, Episode 18: Everybody Says Don’t

Bree overcomes her alcohol addiction by falling in love with her AA-sponsor Peter, only to find he’s also a recovering sex-addict, so he passes her on to a woman. Meanwhile, Lynette is torn between testifying at Andrew’s emancipation trial in his favor, as he claims to be systematically abused by Bree, or in hers. So, she tests his eagerness to become able (trough his trust-fund) to afford an expensive car. If only he had learned from Bree appearances must be kept up always and everywhere! When Edie finds out from Dr. Ron McCreadie about Susan and Karl’s re-marriage behind her back, Edie demands Karl to pay her a wedding that he cannot afford and forces Susan to organize it all. When Gabrielle and Carlos learn that Libby, the girl who promised them her unborn baby, is engaged to the bouncer in the strip-club where she waitresses, they try to pay her off as well as get Libby’s boyfriend, Frank, to waive paternity rights prior to birth, but the sale still has a hidden defect… Felicia Tilman returns to Wisteria Lane seeking revenge against Paul Young, starting when she hints at and blatantly him being Martha’s murder at a ladies meeting.


Season 2, Episode 19: Don’t Look at Me

Lynette is called in to her kids’ school as Parker has gone from being obsessed with Dinosaurs to being obsessed with female nudity. Carlos and Gabrielle must go to court to get custody of their baby, Lily, after they “steal” her from the hospital nursery ward. But they find their court victory for temporary custody bittersweet when Gabrielle resents the baby’s crying and enlists their Chinese housekeeper Xiao-Mei’s help. Bree’s overbearing father Henry and stepmother Eleanor come to town to mediate between Andrew and her after postponing the court trial for Andrew’s emancipation. When Henry and Eleanor decide to take Andrew back to live with them in Rhode Island, Bree and a surprising objective ally craftily make sure they find out about his homosexuality. Convinced that Karl doesn’t really love Edie, Susan goes to a movie theatre alone and spots Mike with a date. This turn of events leads to Susan making a new friend when she has a run-in with dentist Orson Hodge, whom she confides in her troubles. Felicia heats up her war-of-harassment against Paul, trying to provoke a public reaction from him to make herself look like the victim, and him as the aggressor.


Season 2, Episode 20: It Wasn’t Meant to Happen

Gabrielle and Carlos are surprised when their temporarily custody-awarded adoptive baby Lily’s biological teenage father, quarterback Dale Helms, turns up and wants to lay claims to his infant daughter, inspired by his elder brother Frank Helm, the mother’s cuckolded fiancé. The Solis want Dale to sign away his rights, but the dumb jock doesn’t seem to see it their way, until a little intimidation from Gabrielle in his high-school makes him do just that. But on the other front, Edie is heartbroken after Karl breaks off their engagement, and has him followed by P.I. Oliver Weston. Susan becomes very worried that Edie might find out about hers and Karl’s fling. This leads to Edie going out drinking with Susan where she gets so drunk that she attacks a waitress. When Lynette’s boss, Ed, has her work late to forget his marital problems, intimate e-mails get crosses; she tries to coach his on-line love-life back to health, but it backfires badly with Tom getting blamed for their lies. Bree puts her mind to keeping Peter McMillan in her life by having his overprotective sex-addict sponsor removed and continues pursuing him, but soon learns just how bad his other addiction is. Caleb is caught at another horny intrusion when he makes a play for Danielle.


Season 2, Episode 21: I Know Things Now

Bree and Andrew finally reach an impasse in their relationship/conflict as tension has finally reached a critical point when the twisted Andrew resorts to very low measures to turn Bree against Peter, first by having Danielle try to sexually tease him, and then Andrew takes over. This leads to Bree finally making a stand and literally kicking Andrew to the curve from her car, literally. Meanwhile, Ed finally fires Tom with the pressure from Lynette, but she learns that Tom has not been honest to her about some unauthorized visits to Atlantic City. Edie’s private detective begins to uncover numerous details of Karl and Susan’s relationship. The neurotic Susan tries to hush up the detective by bribing him, with Mike’s help, but being who Susan is, she unwisely decides to come clean to Edie about her tryst with Karl. Gabrielle is having a tough time keeping her Chinese servant, Xiao Mei in the country, until Carlos offers a solution to have her be the surrogate mother for their baby. Elsewhere, Betty decides to take Caleb on a picnic to poison him and end their family troubles, until she finds out that Matthew set Caleb up to attack Danielle in order to get Caleb out of the way.


Season 2, Episode 22: No One Is Alone

When Susan hears from Edie she took revenge by burning down her house, Mike accepts to help Susan by planting a wire to tape a confession. Now Andrew is out of the picture, Bree is determined to make up for forgetting Danielle’s 17th birthday, which was six weeks ago, with the ‘perfect’ party, with an opposite effect. Matthew is locked up in the cellar after Betty learns that he set up Caleb so they would have a normal life again, but Danielle finds and frees him. Now their Chinese maid and surrogate mother, Xiao Mei, has pregnancy symptoms, taking care of her needs causes tension between the Solis’s after Carlos gives all his attention to Xiao Mei and not Gabrielle. Lynette doesn’t believe Tom’s story about his trips to Atlantic City, and she secretly follows him to another woman’s home. Felicia’s personal war with Paul Young reaches the final battle with her having him arrested, for her murder


Season 2, Episode 23: Remember: Part 1

Perodic flashbacks to moving-in day on Wisteria Lane and how the control-freak Bree, the ambitious Lynette, the neurotic Susan, and the narcissistic Gabrielle met Mary Alice Young for the first time and how she brought them all together. Other flashbacks show the day that Melanie Foster was murdered back in Chicago and the real reason behind her death, and how Betty decided to live a life on the lam rather than turn in her simpleton son Caleb. Meanwhile in the present, Bree checks herself into a psychiatric hospital, and later gets some frightening news when she learns that Danielle has run away with Matthew. Susan moves into a trailer after her house was burnt down, much to Julie’s annoyance. Lynette takes her kids to stay at a motel after finding about Tom’s ‘other woman’ in Atlantic City, but unaware to the real reason behind the woman’s history. Elsewhere, Gabrielle briefly thinks that Carlos died after hearing a news report of an auto accident, but it turns on her suspicion’s to his caring for Xiao Mei. Also, the imprisoned Paul begs Zach to get him a good lawyer via the dying Noah Taylor. But the unbalanced teenager instead decides to take matters into his own hands in order to sever all ties with his father, and his past life on Wisteria Lane for good.


Season 2, Episode 24: Remember: Part 2

More frequent flashbacks featuring Rex, John Rowland, and George Williams, take us back to key moments in time for Bree, Lynette, Susan and Gabrielle and how they connect to the present. Back in the present, after hearing Betty’s message on her cell phone about Matthew being a murder suspect, that he was the one who murdered Melanie Foster, Bree realizes she needs to escape from the psychiatric hospital and help Danielle, who has run away with Matthew. When he sees Mike buying an engagement ring, Karl buys Susan a house, leading to more conflict between Mike and Karl. Meanwhile, Lynette finds out that Tom has an illegitimate daughter from before they were married, and has an unpleasant meeting with the woman, named Nora. Gabrielle discovers a shocking secret her husband has been keeping from her that Carlos really has been having a tryst with Xiao Mei. Also, Mike meets Orson Hodge (Susan’s dentist friend) for the first time while getting a tooth filled, in which Orson recognizes Mike as someone from his past. But Mike does not know or remember Orson, leading to a shocking confrontation. Orson also has a meeting of minds with Bree when they meet for the first time at the psychiatric hospital where Orson pays regular visits to a mysterious catatonic woman.
